It’s been a great week for tort reform, with a federal district court, for the first time, applying the corporate formation bill from the 2025 Texas Legislature, SB 29. This was a TLR priority bill last session.

It’s another big week in Texas business news with ExxonMobil announcing it wants to go all-in on the Lone Star State. ExxonMobil has now announced plans to move its official corporate domicile from New Jersey to Texas, pending shareholder approval.

The Primary Election is in the books. As a few races head to a May Runoff, our broader focus now turns towards November and another high-stakes General Election.

Early voting continues this week, with the final day to cast an early ballot on Friday. TLR and its affiliates are working hard to ensure voters turn out to support our pro-business, pro-tort reform candidates in contested elections.
